Written for real people, not marketing. Each capability, what it does technically, and why we built it. Nine releases in the last six months — you're looking at every one of them.
The stuff a parent feels every single time they open the app. Battery-first design means it does not drain the child's phone.
Every member as a pin. Card per person with battery %, network type (Wi-Fi / cellular / offline), GPS on/off, last-seen minutes, mock-GPS flag.
120-metre stop clustering, arrival/departure per stop, place name via reverse-geocode + AI, km traveled + active minutes.
Parent sets a km/h threshold per family member. Server evaluates every ping. 15-minute cool-down prevents spam.
Adaptive polling: 30-sec pings while moving, one heartbeat per 15 minutes when stationary. Detected via accelerometer + GPS speed. ~30x less battery use during idle hours.
Draw circles at home / school / work. Enter and leave events fan out gently. Also used for AI anomaly (novel-area) detection.
Features that make SafeNest AI more than "just tracking".
Red button on Home. Under 3 seconds every family member gets a full-screen red dialog + loud alarm sound (dedicated notification channel), a push notification, and an email fallback. In-app polling ensures alerts land even without FCM.
Accelerometer + GPS-speed gating (only listens when moving). 30-second cancel countdown. Four sensitivity presets from "only heavy crashes" to "also catches falls".
Kid schedules a timer (5s, 30s, 1min, 3min). At that time the phone rings with a fullscreen incoming-call UI - the kid has an excuse to leave an unsafe situation.
Parent can queue: force-GPS-on, request live location, ring the phone loudly, send a full-screen modal message, or lock the app so the child must re-authenticate.
Detects mock-GPS apps, sudden GPS-off, low battery + not charging, and uninstall attempts. Every event pushes an alert to the nest owner.
Groq → Gemini → Claude provider chain, per-user daily quotas, on-disk cache with TTL. Zero AI cost surprises.
0-100 score per user with reasons: silent for X hours, novel area, low battery, mock-GPS flag, recent SOS, tamper events.
Warm nest-level narrative delivered at 7 am every morning. "Everyone made it home. Shreyas visited two new places."
Sunday recap per nest, cached to SN_WeeklyRecaps for instant display on Home.
Reverse-geocode + narrative when patterns break: silent 10+ hours, uninstall attempts, curfew violations.
Natural-language: "Where is Shreyas?" "Ping the family." "Fire SOS."
Reverse-geocode the pin, face-verify the selfie against profile photo (OpenAI Vision), generate a one-sentence summary.
Turn tracking into a positive daily habit.
Consecutive check-in days computed from location pings. Auto badges at 3/7/14/30/60/90 days.
One tap. Parents see it beside the name. Softly feeds the worry meter.
Five-panel tour with bouncy icons. Designed to be understandable by a child.
Because family safety needs family talk.
Aurora background, glassmorphic header, gradient bubbles with tails, date dividers, read ticks, floating pill composer.
Tap any photo → fullscreen viewer with pinch-zoom, swipe-down-to-dismiss, tap to hide chrome.
Hold mic to record. Real playback with waveform-fills-to-progress + play/pause + timer.
Swipe right on any message to reply. Long-press = luxury sheet with emoji row + Copy / Forward / Delete. Quoted-reply block inside the bubble.
Everything an organisation or a super admin needs to run SafeNest AI.
Hours-in-geofence per member per day. Payroll-ready.
Compose Diwali / Rakhi / Independence Day banners once, cron sweep delivers them on the exact minute.
20+ ready-made prompts for banners, festivals, birthdays, promotions, social posts, wellness. One-click AI generate through the provider chain.
HTML newsletter to every subscribed user through site4now SMTP. Preview to yourself before sending.
Circles where your exact pin is masked to other family members. Still visible to you.
Per-tenant branding, isolated data, bulk member import via Excel.
Shipped Aug 2026. Finer-grained safety controls parents were asking for.
New family members are held in a pending queue until a nest owner approves. No stranger ever appears on your map because of a shared invite code.
Set weekday and weekend cut-off times per child. Server-side watch fires an alert if the pin is outside safe zones after curfew.
Kid's app needs a 4-digit PIN to open Settings or disable tracking. Parents set and reset from the web panel.
Generate a public 1-hour URL. Anyone with the link sees just your live pin on a map — no app required. Auto-expires.
Elderly members get scheduled medication pings; silence for X minutes escalates to a caregiver push.
See exactly what your current tier includes and every feature marked available or upgrade-only.
Shipped Aug 2026. The features you didn't know you needed until they saved you.
Face-unlock or fingerprint required to open SafeNest. 10-minute auto-lock when the app is paused. Nothing on screen if the phone falls into someone else's hands.
Long-press SOS — no dialog, no confirmation, no sound. Just a haptic buzz and every family member gets a full-screen red alert with your live pin.
One-tap dial to 112 (unified), 100 (police), 108 (ambulance), 1091 (women), 1098 (child), 101 (fire), 1926 (senior). Location auto-shared with your emergency contact.
Blood group, allergies, chronic conditions, current medications, doctor + hospital + insurance. Visible to same-nest members from the map pin.
One tap on Home broadcasts “I'm safe” to every family member with your current location and time. Great for reunions after school / trip / commute.
Scan any family invite QR from another phone. Instant join, no invite-code typing.
Lowest battery in the family lifts to the top. Tap for last-charged time, charging state, and network status.
Shipped Sep 2026. Because “is the app actually running?” is the wrong question to make anyone ask.
Top of Home shows “✓ v1.4.1 · Pulse” and a live IST clock. No confusion about which build you're running or whether time-sensitive features are aware of “now”.
Every family member as a row, sorted by lowest-battery first, showing last-active minutes. Instant “who did I lose track of” scan.
One tap on the nest owner's Home fires an FCM data-wakeup + LOCATION_NOW to every stale member. Bypasses Doze on Xiaomi, OnePlus, Vivo.
Detects OEM battery-killers and prompts to add SafeNest to the whitelist. One tap opens the exact system settings page.
Building now · Coming Sep 2026. Because Indian families aren't just a couple + kids.

Each brother's wife and children are private to that household. Parents are visible across every household.
Whole-family channel, per-household channel, and 1:1 DMs. Wife-and-kids chatter stays inside the household unless explicitly shared.
Zoomable tree with photos, roles, birthdays. Tap any node for that person's public info card.
The stuff that's next in the sprint queue.
